On the first day, long-way SS has been set for the leg 1 such as 26.71km, 22.32km and 23.79km. There are three drivers coursed off at one of the cournor and seemed that it would be a hard race.

Yoshitani got trouble for ACD computer (Active Center Differential System), and forced to drive tarmac mode. Therefore, he started at 19th place in SS1, but cancel of SS2 gave us some times to repair the vehicles and gradually raised his rap-time. Finally, he finished 9th place on the first day.

On the second day, there are eight SS including long-way one of 29.11km. He started at the position of 32 seconds gap to Fujio who is at 7th place and at 10 seconds gap, where it is enough for him to catch up them. At the end of SS 13, he was at 8th place and 7 seconds left to the top. However, bracket of rear suspension has broken at SS 14. It took some times to repair it, so it became 10 seconds difference between them.

However, as he tried to follow fiercely at the Short SS of 9.3km and 5.42km, he finished at 6th place by his success of great upset.

■RS★R WRC Information

September 3rd Friday

On the first day, we were worried about catching up with the preceding car at the long SS. It became reality.

We caught up with the preceding car at the SS 1, 2 and 3, therefore we couldn’t extend the time.

After SS4, we restarted after 20-minutets services, however we caught up with the preceding car at SS 5.

SS 6 was no problem, however at the SS7 we caught up with the preceding car again.

It brought about the spin and ended in 32nd place on the first day.

September 4th Saturday

At this day, as the order of the start was the result of DAY 1, we didn’t worry about the dust.

We confirmed the set-up of the suspension and sent him out.

Gradually, he made a pace-up and SS time was getting faster, however he span at the SS 13 and down the order.

We couldn’t solve the problem about the tail, so covered it by changing the wheel offset.

We changed all the suspension during the 45 minutes service time and prepared for the DAY3.

September 5th Sunday

We started at the 32nd place yesterday. Gradually, getting higher at the SS 21and SS 22, we couldn’t resolve the rear problem; so satisfied driving cannot be done.

As course of DAY3 was very high speed and moreover, narrow road annoyed the driver. At the SS 23 which is 10km from the start, he made a spin at the continuous corner and went off the course ended in retire.

■What is the Group N class?

We largely distinguished the joined vehicle into two categories;

Group A=Touring car and Group N=Production car. Both of the vehicles are produced based on the ordinary car.

The difference between them is that the Vehicles in Group A can be modified to some extent, however the vehicles in Group N mostly aren’t allowed to modify.

WR vehicles which is widely known by WRC vehicles is also categorized in Group A.

Moreover, both of them are registered vehicle, which hold the vehicle number.

These two categories are also divided into four categories of N1, N2, N3 and N4 depending on its engine displacement.

RS★R participate in the N4 class (for the vehicle of over 1000cc displacement), which we can modify limited parts such as suspension and muffler.
